Metrofuser Issues Consumer Warning Over Lexmark Fuser Lockout
On October 15th 2018 our printer service help desk was alerted that the recent version of firmware for the Lexmark MS811 printer (version LW71.DN2.P025 FDN.DN.E727, release locks out remanufactured and aftermarket fusers, reporting the message ‘REPLACE UNSUPPORTED FUSER’ forcing the customer to purchase New OEM fusers.
When you power the printer On, you will encounter the following Unsupported Fuser Error Codes:
32.15 | 32.24 | 32.33 |
32.18 | 32.27 | 32.36 |
32.21 | 32.30 | 32.39 |
These firmware updates will disable compatibility with remanufactured toner and imaging drums as well.
If you wish to continue to use remanufactured fusers, toner and imaging drums, you should not install these firmware updates. If installed, you will lose the option of using remanufactured parts and be locked into using only new Lexmark parts.
